Dr Zarina started her career as a senior executive in Bank Negara Malaysia. She performed audit supervision of Malaysian financial institutions to ensure that they complied with the Banking Acts and regulations. She is currently a chartered accountant, registered with Malaysian Institute of Accountant. She joined UTM and pursued her PhD in Cardiff University and specialized in financial reporting quality and corporate governance. She is interested to do research on financial reporting quality, corporate governance, auditing, corporate issues, disclosures and performance.
